Episode #17 of I Hate Racing Radio is joined by professional baseball player and longtime friend, Tony Gonsolin (@goooose15). Tony was drafted to the LA Dodgers in 2016 out of Saint Mary’s College and is now working his way up the minor league ladder. He’s currently pitching for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (An Adv. Single A minor team affiliated with the Dodgers). This episode was more focused than usual. We cover: * Flow State - hacking flow state, letting the body do what it’s trained to do, getting + staying focused * Prime effort level -- avoid trying too hard * How much of the sport is mental vs physical? * Quick adaption & learning on the fly * The Yips = mental blockades and dissolving the illusion * The Observer Effect * Optimizing Adjustments & the Bounce Back
